This is an award-winning, people-first building designed to prioritize the health, safety, and holistic well-being of its users.
Achieving WELL GOLD certification from the International WELL Building Institute, it exemplifies a growing movement to enhance human health and wellness through innovative building design.
This is a significant achievement for all of those involved, from the design to completion and aftercare.
Steve Waggett, Group Service Delivery Director commented: “It is fantastic to see the NSECH building attaining its WELL Gold standard, as this is the first scheme Meldrum have delivered that required a WELL Certification.
From the outset, the whole project team collaborated really well to ensure that the health and well-being of the end users was foremost in our thoughts at every stage, from the provision of a new walking trail, to the careful selection of the materials and finishes nothing was left to chance. It’s a credit to the efforts of the team that we achieved the gold level of certification.”
Aligning well with our own commitment to supporting the health and well-being of our people, we’ve recently introduced several initiatives including a cycle-to-work scheme and alternative therapy healthcare to our workforce.
This covers treatments such as Salt Therapy, Red Light Therapy, Reiki, Colonic Irrigation, Hypnotherapy and many more. These alternative therapies can be utilised to help with conditions such as: Cardiovascular Health, Arthritis, Skin Conditions, Anxiety, Weight Management, Chronic Fatigue, Allergies and Asthma and Musculoskeletal disorders.
