After our success on multiple projects together, Meldrum Civil Engineering were appointed to undertake the upgrade works to New Moors wastewater treatment plant by main contractor Galliford Try.

The scheme has improved the water quality of Hummer Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream by enhancing the treatment processes that remove phosphorous from the final effluent.

Key upgrades:-

• PE wash water booster kiosk drain pipework

• Tertiary treatment plant backwash pipework

• Tertiary solids removal equipment and slab

• infrastructure to accommodate the above-ground mechanical installations

• Ferric and costic dosing chamber bases and access footpaths

• Chemical dosing kiosk bases

• Excavations to sink 3 new pumping stations on site

• Landscaping
