Project Description

Meldrum Facilities have completed refurbishment and reconfiguration works of a previous college accommodation into executive office space, administration offices, a board room, meeting rooms, and conference areas. Appointed by Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a long-term client of Meldrum Facilities.

The design and build project provided a new head office for the trust, in their move from previous residence at Team Valley. The trust supports and partners with five secondary schools, one middle school, one first school and forty-one primary schools.

On site works began with a full strip out of existing fixtures, fittings, services, ceilings and walls. Followed by the erection of new acoustic partition walls and ceilings, plastering, lighting, small power, data, full new air conditioning system, replacement air handling units including new ductwork. Finalised with 2nd fix joinery, and the fit out of tea points, vinyl flooring, carpets, acoustic screens and insulation, alongside all new external windows.

Special Requirements

The team worked in phased occupation to a very tight timescale, allowing the client to relocate from their existing offices upon the end of their lease agreement.  Site then became an occupied building which we must complete phase 2 in parallel with.
