STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK
Our highly skilled workforce utilise modern techniques to produce a high quality product in line with the fabrication drawings and specifications.

All of our work is quality checked prior to leaving our facility in line with our QEMS procedures. This is in accordance with our industry recognised factory production control accreditation EXC2 according to BS-EN1090
ARCHITECTURAL METALWORK
At our headquarter offices in Dunston, we have steel fabrication facilities allowing for the production of steel frames up to 60 tonnes, all elements of secondary steelwork and architectural metalwork and staircases.

DESIGN MANAGEMENT & DETAILING
Our in house design team uses the latest in 3D design software. This creates a seamless process from Estimating – Design – Manufacture – Site Installation on both Engineered led and Design & Build led projects.
Meldrum Fabrication and our in-house design team use the latest version of Tekla to keep up to date with our clients and the industry requirements such as importing and exporting of 3D models together with BIM Projects.
All of our fabrication drawings are prepared from 3D models and our produced in house.
Having an in house design team ensures there is a professional 1-1 design service provided to our client during all stages of design and throughout the full duration of the project.
From our 3D models we provide full GA’s, fabrication drawings, lists and material. These are fed through to the skilled operatives on the shop floor machinery resulting in an accurate finished product that will be fabricated exactly to the 3D model specifications and dimensions.
Value Engineering
Clients regularly ask us to review pre-designed projects and identify any areas where cost savings can be made. Our design expertise together with a detailed knowledge of steelwork and fabrication processes can often result in savings as well as programme times.
REFURBISHMENT & MAINTENANCE
Meldrum Fabrication offer a complete package in Refurbishment and Maintenance projects including, design, detailed fabrication drawings, fabrication, welding, paint protection and erection / maintenance works.
