Meldrum Construction were appointed the refurbishment of Squires Annexe by Northumbria University. Utilising our end-to-end service, we enlisted Meldrum Fabrication, Meldrum Building Services, Meldrum Fire Engineering & Meldrum Civils to assist with the project, which resulted in quick communication and minimal lead times.

This D&B build included the conversion of existing art studios in two lecture theatres to hold 285 and 140 people, the installation of 6 unisex toilets, 1 accessible toilet, an M&E upgrade, hallway refresh, new fire escapes and updated external cladding.

St Cuthbert’s work experience

As part of our commitment to uplifting the local community, we welcomed three students from St Cuthbert’s School to Squires Annexe for work experience during their autumn break. The students thoroughly enjoyed their time with us, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
