ROLE OVERVIEW

Job Location:     Office Based (Head Office) NE11 9JW

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for will be responsible for the various procurement processes which are an integral part of the delivery side of the business.

In this role you will be responsible to the Head of Group Purchasing.

WHAT WE ASK FOR

Meldrum Group are looking for an organised and committed individual, who is an experienced Buyer.

The successful candidate will have multiple product category knowledge, ideally be educated to degree level and preferably within a related subject matter as well as be able to demonstrate a high degree of computer literacy and proficient in MS Office.

The candidate will procure goods, materials & services to ensure the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. They will build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good working relationships are maintained with good communication skills (both written and verbal).
